North West 200 News

Today marks the start of the countdown to the 2025 Briggs Equipment North West 200 race week on May 5-10 with Race Director, Mervyn Whyte and Gary Clements, Briggs Equipment Managing Director (Ireland), heralding Briggs’ second year as title sponsors of the north coast motorcycle racing festival.

“2025 Race Week promises another thrilling display of world-class road racing, uniting fans and competitors alike on the 8.9 mile NW200 course, one of the most celebrated circuits in motorsport.’ Clements says.

“The grid will feature plenty of the fans’ favourites once again but we will also see some new faces, eager to make a name for themselves on the iconic Triangle circuit.

“Last year was a huge success all round, with fantastic racing, incredible weather, and record-breaking attendances. We won’t be resting on our laurels though as we strive to find new ways to improve and build for the future.

“Briggs Equipment and our partners at Balloo Hire have been working closely with Mervyn Whyte and the NW200 team to identify new opportunities that will enhance the NW200 experience for fans and competitors alike.

“I’m truly excited about the future of the event and delighted that Briggs Equipment is at the heart of it all as we aim to make 2025 the best North West 200 ever!”

That passion is echoed by Race Director, Mervyn Whyte.

“Although more than eight months have passed since a motorcycle last raced around the ‘Triangle’, the work of the Coleraine and District Motor Club in preparation for this year’s event has been going on constantly in conjunction with Gary and his Briggs and Balloo teams.

“We are immensely grateful for all the assistance they provide as we set our sights on another thrilling week of road racing during May 5-10.’
