North West 200 News

Josh Brookes will ride a Carl Cox Motorsport/ Uggly&Co Clothing GSX-R750 Suzuki in the Fraser Homes and Tides Restaurant Supersport races at the 2026 Briggs Equipment North West 200 on  May 4-9.

One of the most prolific supporters of motorsport, Carl Cox is no stranger to the world of road racing, having supported multiple riders across two and three wheels through his Carl Cox Motorsport brand for many years, including Michael Dunlop.

For 2026, Carl takes the pace up a notch, supporting the newly formed Uggly&Co Racing team. The family-owned motorcycle lifestyle brand is renowned across the world’s race paddocks and retail sites, attending an incredible number of events including the NW200, Isle of Man TT, all 11 British Superbike rounds and as far afield as the Daytona 200! The fiercely independent brand, built from real roots in racing and garage culture has, like Carl, supported dozens of riders from grassroots club sport to Jamie Coward, Danilo Petrucci (WSBK), Kyle Ryde, Bradley Ray, Ben Birchall, alongside many others.

“Carl Cox is an absolute legend in terms of the support he gives to riders, and Uggly&Co are such a cool brand within the race paddock, what a pairing to have in your corner!’ Josh Brookes said.

“I love the idea of this independent team. I’ve had a lot of success with that type of outfit previously, and I believe the Suzuki GSX-R750 has great attributes for the NW200. I can’t wait to get out there for first practice and wind on the power!’

The new team is owned by motorcycle enthusiast and founder of Uggly&Co, Al Morris, who is excited to sign Josh Brookes to campaign the British Supersport-conquering Suzuki GSX-R750 in both Supersport races at the 2026 North West 200.

After making his NW200 debut in 2013, the Australian star set a new outright lap record in 2014 and finished on the podium in the Supersport and Superbike races. After an eight year break the Australian returned to Portrush claiming another podium in the Superbike class, before following that up the following year with the fastest-ever speed recorded at the event at an incredible 212.4mph.

North West 200 visitors will also be able to see and buy the 2026 Carl Cox Motorsport x Uggly&Co range of merchandise exclusively at the Uggly&Co stand in the paddock and fanzone, which will be open throughout race week. To shop online, see www.carlcoxmotorsport.com and www.ugglyandco.com

It’s really exciting to be supporting this new team with the guys at Uggly&Co, it’s the perfect racing collab!’ Carl Cox explained.

‘The North West is a really special event, we’re glued to it wherever in the world we are at the time, so it’s cool to be racing there, and with Josh Brookes piloting the proven Suzuki GSX-R750, we have every chance of some success!”

‘You’ll always see the Uggly&Co pop-up shops at motorcycle events up and down the country, where the team are always smiling, happy to be there, meeting fans and enjoying being part of the scene.’ Al Morris, Uggly&Co Racing Team Owner added. Every purchase, every bit of support along the way has genuinely helped build this. A percentage of every sale goes straight back into racing, and that’s how we’ve been able to put this team together. It’s a sport I’ve been part of since I was young, so to now bring Uggly&Co into it not just as a clothing brand or sponsor, but as a racing team at the most iconic road races in the world — it’s a dream come true.”

‘We are delighted to have Carl Cox and the Uggly and Co team supporting Josh Brookes at the North West 200 this year in this exciting new development.’ NW200 race director, Mervyn Whyte said.

‘Josh has made a major mark during his previous performances at the North West and we look forward to him doing it again in 2026.’
