NW200 Celebrates Partnership with European Series Road Racing

North West 200 News

The Briggs Equipment NW200 team travelled to Hořice in the Czech Republic at the weekend for the final round of the European Series Road Racing (ESR), where we were delighted to be presented with an award recognising our partnership with the series.

European Series Road Racing is an independent SBK championship featuring six road races across Europe. Riders compete on powerful production-based superbikes in a fast, disciplined and competitive series.

The 2026 ESR calendar featured six rounds across five countries, with the championship beginning at Hengelo in the Netherlands before travelling to the North West 200 in Northern Ireland. The series then continued at Hořice in the Czech Republic, Imatra in Finland and Chimay in Belgium, before returning to Hořice for the season finale.

The 2026 season saw ESR visit the NW200 for the first time, bringing a fantastic group of European competitors to Northern Ireland and adding another international dimension to race week. It was a great addition to the NW200 programme and provided riders from across Europe with the opportunity to compete on the famous North West 200 roads.

Congratulations to Fedrik Matthys, who was crowned the overall ESR Champion following the final round in Hořice.

ESR was founded by Laurent Hoffmann, whose passion for road racing is at the heart of the series. Laurent is hugely passionate about ESR and hopes to see the championship continue to grow, providing opportunities for riders who share that same passion for road racing.

The NW200 was delighted to welcome ESR to Northern Ireland in 2026 and to play a part in bringing more European riders and teams to the event.

A big thank you to Laurent and everyone involved with ESR for the recognition and for being part of the NW200. We look forward to continuing our partnership and seeing the series develop in the years ahead.
